Creating an Ideal Org

The basis of the cycle of action in creating an Ideal Org is of course create. And create it was, in a big way, last night!
The OT Committee entertained everyone with a specially written version of the Wizard of Oz in which everyone bought bricks for the yellow brick road in order to get Dorothy home to her Ideal Org. The story was great and the OT Committee raised over $160,000 towards the new building. This was a once in a lifetime presentation and I doubt anyone will ever see the OT Committee in this way again.
The cast consisted, in order of appearance, of Melanie Wertin as Dorothy, Chris Wertin as the Cowardly Lion, Tom Drake as the Tin Man, Doug Arjes as the Scarecrow, Bryan Shackelford as Glinda, the Good Witch, Brandy Shackelford as Enda the Road of the Missouri Department of Transportation, Terri Marx as the Wicked Witch of the West, Mary Huss as the Brickseller and Bob Marx as the All-Powerful Wizard of Oz. And rounding out the accolades, recognition should also go to Azeneth Gonzalez who sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" at the start of the show and to JoAnne Beachy who was writer/director.
They had us all in stitches, laughing so hard and everyone was rushing to purchase yellow bricks to complete construction of the yellow brick road.
If you missed it, I should be able to get some photos up in the coming week and, other than that, you'll have to imagine it from my description. Maybe next time you'll come when we tell you it's a night of superb entertainment!
Everyone had a wonderful time and we are looking forward to the next time the OT Committee hosts an event.

Basics Update

The Basics are still going strong. More completions and lots of wins and successes.
I'm up to the Advanced Procedure and Axioms book and I was talking to one student who has completed the book and is now on the lectures that follow: Thought, Emotion and Effort. These are completely new lectures, never before released and if you weren't there when they were delivered in the 50's, you didn't hear them. So this is pretty hot stuff, to say the least!
Today I was on course and the course room was pretty full but the space was calm and serene. Everyone present was simply smoothly reading the data and having their cognitions and keying out.
Quite an experience! And of course, you are invited to join in!

Don't Forget the VMs!

With all the activity on the Basics, you may have forgotten that this is the time of year for lots of VM activities. Last month there were several venues where the Volunteer Minister tent was out and VMs were working to help people with solutions to life's difficulties.
The tent and VMs were at the Santa-Cali-Gon in Independence, the Wyandotte County Fair, Old Settler's Days in Olathe and is currently at the Kansas State Fair. So they're really getting out there and if you haven't been, you should join in the fun!
Everyone going has had a blast doing stress tests, giving tours through the tent with its panels showing all the solutions available, handing out literature and personality tests, selling books to those wanting more information and giving assists or other assistance. Not to mention just going to any of these fairs is fun in itself!
There are crowds of people, music, dancing, rides, root beer, barbecue and funnel cakes!
Anyway, I've added a sampling of photos from one of the recent venues so you can see the activities. But that doesn't replace actually going out to one of these venues, so check it out!

More on the Basics

I have completed reading Science of Survival. It was considerably easier than previous times. The first thing I noticed was that it definitely took off from the assumption that you would have read Dianetics first.
After getting part way into it, I next noticed that it was easier to spot people's tones. I found that it was becoming almost automatic. For example, I was almost unconsciously spotting people on the Tone Scale as automatically as noticing what color hair they had or how tall they were; it was just easy!
Next, I noticed I became more aware of the theta-entheta ratio of people, environments, situations and how that affected the people in the area. I could see how certain people had influence in an area, good or bad, and how others responded. It was quite enlightening.
By the time I was finished with the book, it had risen in importance to the point that I would be hard-pressed to make a choice between it and Dianetics if I were only allowed to take one book with me. The data in Science of Survival is so vital, so useful, so embracive, one really can't survive without it.
Now I'm on Self Analysis and I'm finding it even simpler than I ever remembered. As I'm reading, I'm looking forward to the Self Analysis questions themselves!

As for Saturday's Auditor's Day Event, it was very good with all the area auditors getting awarded. But the big theme was how study of the Basics was increasing and improving the skill and ability of the auditors and skyrocketing results! Preclears, just since the release of the Basics, are realizing double and triple gains in processing! That, alone, would be a reason for someone to study the Basics!

The Day Before Auditor's Day

It's the day before Auditor's Day, all the work has been done to set up the event hall, practicing speeches, adjusting lights and seating, testing audio-visual equipment and now, all you have to do is attend.
Everything's ready for a completely unforgettable event. The event is live, with awards going to local auditors and visual displays to accompany the briefings being given by the Executive Director and Senior Case Supervisor. But having a local venue doesn't reduce the impact of this event in the least. The news is absolutely spectacular!
And, once again, you will get to see the inside of the new building, one of the last few times before renovations are begun.
So make plans to attend, tomorrow at 5:30 at the new building, 18th and Grand.

Ideal Org and the Basics

The attendees of the recent convention aboard the Freewinds are returning and I'm sure will have much to brief everyone on. Most arrived back just this past weekend and will be available for comment at the Auditor's Day Event next Saturday. So if you want to get the latest news and find out what big plans are in the wings for the coming months, attending the Auditor's Day Event should keep you in the loop.
Besides, it's Auditor's Day and you should come anyway and help celebrate the most valuable beings on the planet!

Busy on Basics

Needless to say, we've been quite busy. The mounting excitement on the upcoming Auditor's Day Event has kept everyone on the phones, sending out mailings and, in general, working to get the word out because this Auditor's Day, we are seeing how much the face of Scientology has changed in the last couple months. And it's considerable.
The number of people starting and completing services has climbed to new highest-evers each week. The wins and successes of those completing Basics courses rival those of some of the highest levels of auditing.
Auditor's Day will be to celebrate all of the auditors in the area, but more than that, you will get to see the effects of the Basics on Grade Chart progress and how the Basics has taken the lid off understanding of Scientology. With all of these wins occurring in higher and higher numbers, perhaps now is the time to join in, start with your next book and really get what this technology is all about!
The Auditor's Day Event will be held September 15th at 5:30 at the new building at 18th and Grand.

Success, as promised

Here is a success or two, as I promised yesterday.
First is from someone who just completed the Problems of Work Book Course: "My successes on the completion of this course are multi-faceted. I take away more knowledge of what causes people to retract from work and be less productive in society and I see where I got my interest in work. As well, I can better remedy myself and those I work with when work starts to become difficult or exhausting. As well, I take a big win in my first Academy course completion and doing it in less than checksheet time. I knew the F/N was there before I heard it."

And another, from a brand new Dianetic Auditor: "The first person I audited--while in training--changed overnight. His total demeanor became shiny. Before that he was glum and full of despair. The very next day he looked and sounded so different it was amazing. I want to see much more of that."

The Week in Progress

I spent several hours yesterday at the Santa-Cali-Gon in Independence, working at the VM tent with Al. We had a great time, talking with lots of people and sold some books while we were at it. The festival runs through Monday so if you haven't been out there, you should definitely take advantage of the great weather and go. Al could use help as there are thousands of people and sometimes we don't have enough people running the meters for stress tests for everyone who wants one.
Excitement is mounting for Auditor's Day 2007 as well. This year's event will be held at the new building on September 15th at 5:30pm. This is a local event with some short video clips of international happenings. Local auditors will be recognized and awarded.
Word still hasn't come back from the contingent at the Freewinds so I expect they are simply busy learning all about the coming steps to create an Ideal Org. Stay tuned to stay in the loop.
The OT Committee is putting on a show on September 29th that rumor has will be quite entertaining! So put that on your calendars as well.
Basics! We had 31 graduates this past week so the numbers are continuing to climb! I am still working on Science of Survival, loving it and planning to finish this week. The successes have been out of this world and I will see if I can get some to post as they will blow you away!
