Ideal Org Progress Report

We have the building, but the work's not done yet! The building looks good to begin with but we're talking about an Ideal Org here, so of course there are renovations to do. We're on our way to getting those done, but now we're into a whole new phase of fund-raising. We need about $4.3 million and we've got about $1 million. So you can see from the math that we still have about 3.3 to raise.
Won't you chip in?
If a staff member or OT Committee member calls you in the near future, please be so kind as to make a gift. Every little bit helps so even if you don't have a spare hundred thousand sitting around, give what you can. Each gift puts us that much closer to making this a reality.
There were several orgs that got their buildings recently (see the LRH Birthday Event). We all need to raise funds for the renovations and it'll bottleneck, so let's be first and get our renovations started before the rush!

Ideal Org Special Showing

Tomorrow there will be a special showing of the 2007 LRH Birthday Event for those who were unable to attend last weekend (or for those who simply want to see it again because it was so spectacular).
The special event will be held Saturday, March 31st at 11:00am at the Kansas City Org.
If you haven't seen the event yet and are not able to attend tomorrow's special showing, contact the org and special arrangements can be made. For those out of town, a tour could be arranged to bring the event to your town.
The point is, if you haven't seen the event, we want you to and we're doing whatever it takes to get the communication out there!
Remember, this org "is absolutely crucial to the global agenda of planetary clearing" so you won't want to miss out. come see what all of the hubbub is about!

Quest for the Ideal Org

At the LRH Birthday Event, the Chairman of the Board, RTC spoke of the Kansas City Org in introduced the new building with the following words: "This one's absolutely crucial to the global agenda of planetary clearing." I leave it to you to ponder on exactly what that means.

A special showing of the event is scheduled for Saturday, March 31st at 11:00 am at the current org building. If that doesn't work for you, call and schedule a time when you are able to see the event.

Not to let the cat out of the bag, the event closed with these words from the Chairman of the Board, RTC: "So yes, this is the time, this is the big push. And you are part of it. And that brings me to that moment where I lay it on. If I tell you we indeed have it nailed, if I tell you we know how to create Ideal Orgs, if I tell you they're all in preparation for all else we bring to the forefront, if I tell you it's going to be a parade of one giant step after another in terms of means and ways to truly and honestly clear a planet, and I am telling you these things, then there is one thing I will not tell you. That it can be done alone. That it can be done on automatic. No, it requires that final and most crucial ingredient that LRH knew from Day One. It requires people. It requires others. It requires you. And with that crucial element, then yes, we most definitely will create our own tomorrow."

Ideal Org is not just a building!

The Ideal Org is not just a building. It is the people who put it there and do all the functions that make it an Ideal Org. An Ideal Org is not just the staff.


It is the field as well. It is the OT Committee working on projects to expand the area and get more people moving up the Bridge.


It is Field Staff Members contacting and bringing in new people to get them up the Bridge.



It is volunteers to get Study Tech into the schools, Ethics Tech into the prisons, Drug Rehabilitation Tech into the neighborhoods.



An Ideal Org is a team of Scientologists, both on staff and off, who are working to make a better world.

Perhaps you didn't get a chance to sign up for the activity you were most interested in. There's still plenty of time! There's plenty to do! Get into the org and sign up now! There's plenty of action to go around!

Ideal Org Phase Two!

Alright. We've got the building, now it's on to the next phase: renovations!

There is a lot of work involved in renovating a 7-story, 65,000 square foot building. We've got to raise funds for that now, and the sooner, the better.


We're off to a good start. After the LRH Birthday Event, Kansas City Org raised more money than any other West US org! So, I do have to say, you guys rock!!
The field in the midwest is the best!


I'm sure if you talk to anyone hanging around the org about now, they will tell you that these have been some of the most exciting times ever in the history of the org. Actually, you can ask me! I've been here a while and I should know.



Yes, history in the making. What you are doing now and through the rest of this year, you will be able to brag about to your grandchildren in the future. You can say, "Yes, I was there and helped build an Ideal Org...back in the day when there weren't a lot of them around!"

Ideal Org Success!

Well, now you know. The word is out! Kansas City Org has an Ideal Org building!
Spectacular views of the new building were viewed across the globe as Scientologists attended the LRH Birthday Event at their local orgs and missions. To see more on this spectacular event, go here. Not only was the new Kansas City Ideal Org building featured, but also those of Chicago and St. Louis in the U. S. and several more around the globe. The Ideal Org campaign is taking off like a rocket.
If you weren't able to attend the event, go to your local org or mission and see the video. You will want to stay in the loop and the news in the event was spectacular. There were also great anecdotes about LRH and the early days of Dianetics and Scientology with reminiscences from those who were there, including Kansas City Org's own Carl Warner!
As soon as I can get photos of the simulations and fly-throughs and Kansas City's own event, I'll get them up on the site. In the mean time, you should come to the org and see what all the excitement is all about!
And don't think we're done. Now that we have the building, we need to man it up, get it renovated and flood it with public. So, more than ever, the push is on. No time to rest on our laurels, let's get the show on the road!

Ideal Org Around the Corner

The big event is just around the corner and you don't want to miss it! I just saw an excerpt and all I can tell you is that it is spectacular. This event will rock the house!

On Sunday, March 25th, there will be a seminar in the new building and all attendees will hear a very special announcement about the new building. So you have to attend that as well, to make sure you don't miss out on all the great news!

Here's the roof top cafe. Imagine relaxing after a session or while on break from course, basking in the sun and being able to look at the KC skyline to the north.

The door is open and the secret is out! You have to come to the LRH Birthday Event to find out! It is Saturday, March 24th at 6:00pm. It is being held at the Madrid Theater at 38th and Main.
If you like the data and photos you've seen on this blog, you'll love the event. There will be computer fly-throughs showing what the new building will look like once renovated and you will see what your contributions are creating. Things are still moving along on the new building. The level of excitement in the org is mounting! We are getting ready for the big event: Saturday, March 24th at 6:00pm. The event will be at the Madrid Theater at 38th and Main Street in Kansas City, just a block from the org. We are expecting highest ever attendance. Call the org at (816)753-6590 to confirm your attendance.

Want another reason to hop on board the Ideal Org bandwagon? Here's a great example, passed on to me by the OES.
"Tonight I received a phone call from Iowa Scientologist and mom, Julie. She was very excited to tell me that her 13-year-old son, Stephen, had originated donating $2500 to the Ideal Org in KC. He has had a paper route since he was 8 years old. He started with 18 papers at 8 cents per paper delivered, which he delivered 6 days a week. Now, after 5 years of the same paper route, he makes $100/month and has saved $2600 in his personal savings account. He took a couple of courses in KC last summer and has just completed the Anatomy of the Spirit of Man Congress Lectures. He has not been asked directly to donate to the ideal Org project but they have been talking about it as a family and he is aware of the Project. Last weekend he approached his parents and asked their permission to make a $2500 donation. They are very proud of him. (Note: Stephen is in 8th Grade. He is very smart and hard working. He has a 4.0 GPA and even takes a bus from the Middle School over to the High School for advanced math classes every day. He is heavily involved in sports and other activities.)
"I asked Stephen to email me and let me know why he decided to donate his money to the Ideal Org Project. This is what he had to say:
" 'Over the past several years of my life, I've saved up my money carefully. I always knew that there would be something worthwhile to use it on. When I head about the new ideal Org, I knew that this was what was worthy of all of the money I had slowly earned with my paper route. Now that I've donated, I wish that I could've had more to donate.
" 'Ideal Orgs are important because this is the best chance man has had for freedom for the last thousands of years. With the help of staff members and donations, Scientology is destined to succeed in breaking all barriers to give any being a route to any level of ability.' Stephen Bergeson"

At the last fund raiser, the kids got in the action. They each wore a shirt that expressed why they thought we should have an Ideal Org. They all went up to the front of the crowd and told everyone their thoughts as well.
Putting it there for the future of all the children in the midwest is a good enough reason for anyone, don't you think?

Ideal Org News

The live LRH Birthday Event was Friday night at Flag and Saturday night in Los Angeles. Comments about the new building were completely rave! Members of the Kansas City OT Committee were in attendance at Flag and reported back that it would bring tears to your eyes. We need to get everyone possible to attend the event in Kansas City to ensure they see what's to come.

Not only have we gotten lots of gifts for the building, but we have had people come on board as staff and you can see that they're quite happy about their choice in careers.

Ideal Org update, photos and more

Here's the Saturday update. First of all, I'm sure everyone wants a picture of the new building on the site so here it is. This view is from the southwest corner of the building.
There was a great picture of the new building today in the Kansas City Star. In fact, there was a great article about the new building! It was on the front page of the Business Page. It included a photo of the org, an interview with the Executive Director and some information about Scientology.
I'm sure everyone wants to know where we stand on the "fun-raising" as well. First, everyone, hats off to Troy and Cindy for finishing their gift to become "Humanitarians" last night right at the end of the night. Currently we stand well on the way to having the building paid in full. Thank you to everyone who is donating. Also, great thanks to all the fun raisers for their work in helping us achieve this goal.
More news today! Of course is was St. Patrick's Day and the parade went right past the new building. So we set up the Volunteer Ministers tent in the parking lot right across the street and made sure everyone knew "Something can be done about it!" Over 60 books were sold to new public and many more walked through looking at the panels that present all of our solutions to the many problems in this civilization. Commends for the many staff and public who manned the tent and helped out.

Now, let's see if I can squeeze in a couple more pictures, just to satisfy everyone's appetite....

This is inside the lobby. The large windows on the left are on the north side (18th street). Of course, all the file cabinets you see are part of the materials of the current tenants who will be leaving shortly so we can begin renovations once the building purchase is final. And if you want to see what the finished product is like, I suggest you attend the LRH Birthday Event on Saturday, March 24th at the Madrid Theater. The computer simulations are spectacular and it is said, by those who were at the live event, that it will bring tears to your eyes! So put that on your calendar and be sure to attend. By the way, did I mention that this building is on the National Register of Historic Places? Yep.
Well, I guess I got a little long-winded here, but as many of you know, I am just a little bit passionate about this building and the whole Ideal Org campaign. This is like a dream come true, not just for me but for many of you, I'm sure.
So let's push it through to a done and wrap this up and make it happen.

Ideal Org, here we come!

Well, here it is. The first entry in the KC Org's Ideal Org blog. (mouthful, ain't it?!)
I hope to provide lots of photographs and data about the progress in building an ideal org, from the fundraising, to the renovations, to the recruitment of staff, as well as all the news in the area of the effects being created.
Log in regularly to keep up to date and I will keep you posted on what's going on.
I'll set it up so you can post your own comments and input as well.
So, right now, we're working on the last stages of the fund raising. It has been exciting, to say the least. Never would I have thought that so many people would become so involved in something of this magnitude. You have all been absolutely wonderful! Your contributions have been greatly appreciated and everyone working on fundraising thanks you from the bottom of our hearts.
