Congress Fare

I have to post about the Congress food. It was simply fantastic!
This year, rather than catering out like last year's congress, we had our own Doug Holmes handle the cuisine. In case you didn't know, Doug is a pro in this field and if you were at the Congress, you experienced this first-hand.
So I have a lot of photos showing the food, the presentation and the delightful effects created. Check out the dessert photos and you'll see what I mean.
I had to try one of everything!

If you're interested in eating, getting on course at the org is another good thing. For the holiday season, we have different snacks right outside the course rooms for breaktimes.
Each day a different staff member provides the goodies and it's not just milk and cookies! There has been fresh fruit and vegetables, home baked goods, chips and salsa or various dips, chili, meats and cheeses and countless other treats.
Which makes being on course a treat too!
Also, for the holidays, there have been different activities to help everyone celebrate. Christmas caroling after graduation.
This evening, we all retired to the kitchen to make gingerbread men and houses, all decorated by the kids (including the grown-up kids). You can see them on display on the snack table, though if you aren't on course in the next couple days, you may find them gobbled up.

And to wrap up, don't forget tomorrow night is the OT Committee presentation of A Christmas Carol (with a twist!). There will be food there as well as fabulous entertainment. So plan on stopping by and enjoying yourselves! It starts at 6:30 and will be in the new building at 18th and Grand.
Bon Apetite!
