Busy Day Creating an Ideal Org

It was a busy day today at the org! In addition to the usual activity with auditing and training occurring, there were a number of public working on projects to join staff, talking with staff about what it would mean to be a staff member or discussing other ways to contribute to the creation of an Ideal Org.

There were sessions taking place in the Academy as well as in the Hubbard Guidance Center and preclears completing auditing actions.And word from a trainee at Flag, training to deliver a new upcoming release, is that it's all very exciting and you won't want to miss out on any of it!

Spring Fling Roaring Success

The Spring Fling was roaring success with great food, great people, great music and news about our progress in creating an Ideal Org. Since the LRH Birthday Event in March, the OT Committee has increased in size from 12 to 28. Six more joined the OT Committee at the event. We had more renderings of spaces in the new building and how they may look, including auditing rooms overlooking the Kansas City skyline. I'll get the new views posted as soon as I can get them. Some new staff signed up as well. The expansion on all fronts is rolling out. And if we continue to confront and handle our environment, we'll go up like a rocket!

Ideal, Definition of

The Oxford American Dictionary defines ideal as "Answering to one's highest conception. Perfect or supremely excellent."
Apply that to the Ideal Org and you wind up with a perfect or supremely excellent organization that answers to one's highest conception of what an org should be. And that's where we are headed.
We have the building. It is ideally located for us to reach out into the environment and create changes for the better.
We are working on the renovations to make it "supremely excellent" and embody the aesthetics that will attract those looking for spiritual succor and improvement.
We are building up the team of staff who will deliver to the public, enabling thousands at a time to attain spiritual freedom.
We are getting staff trained on new services that you will be hearing about in the coming events, services that will move people in greater numbers and with more certainty toward their spiritual goals.
And the motion is so rapid, that if you want to stay in the loop and not miss out, you need to attend the briefings, events, workshops and seminars that are held each week.
For starters, this week's Spring Fling.
Saturday evening, come to the org and find out the latest news, see what's happening, hear what's up and coming and join in on the greatest push to create a world without insanity, criminals and war that has ever occurred!

Ideal Org Blog

There have not been many comments posted and I thought perhaps I should do a bit of hatting on blogging. Blog is short for weblog. Blogs are anywhere from an on-line diary of personal thoughts up to an interactive news source and commentary. At the bottom of any entry, called a post, is the word "comments". By clicking on "comments", you can enter your own thoughts or comments about the subject posted. When you do this, you make a blog multi-dimensional and interactive. Anybody can leave a comment on a post and the reason I am doing this little bit of hatting is to encourage you to leave comments!
Your comments will be out there for everyone to see and you will become part of the Ideal Org blog!
Let's increase the amount of communication about the Ideal Org and really put it into high gear!

Ideal Org News, Staff, Event

More news on the Ideal Org front.
The HCO Area Secretary, LeAnn DeMotts is in Los Angeles for special training to build up an Ideal Org. Several other staff are being lined up to go to Los Angeles and to Flag for other special training. There is also a special program concerning new Bookstore releases and applications are being accepted for a Bookstore Officer to get briefed on the new releases in order to bring them back to the org.
Former staff are returning to post as well.
This is certainly the time to get aboard, eh?!
The Dianetics Anniversary is coming up in May also, and you won't want to miss out on all the great news and releases at that event. So call the org for time and location information and reserve your seat!

Monday Ideal Org Update

There are still about 75 staff positions available in the "Founding Ideal Org Staff" positions. This includes 17 auditor positions for those interested in training as an auditor. There is also a special training program in Los Angeles for those interested in executive postitions. Right now, there are enough positions available for pretty much anyone to get onto a post that interests them; so see the Personnel Procurement Officer before it's too late!

This past weekend's booth at the Psychic Fair did well with over 60 books sold. Quite a number of public worked at the fair to assist in the activities: Janet Stein, Mary Huss, Tom Drake, Justin Liberty, Chris Wertin, Melanie Wertin, Brandy Shackelford, Doug Arjes, Dennis Gillum, Terri Marx, Eric Locke, Dave Sutter and Cynthia Smith all worked one or more shifts, selling books, handing out promo and introducing people to to Dianetics and Scientology. Top public bookseller was Mary Huss.

Spring Fling Invite

A note to out-of-towners regarding recent events and the upcoming Spring Fling: we look forward to seeing you!
If you did not get a chance to see the LRH Birthday Event last month, we have the video available and you can see it in the org. The best way to do this and really have a good time is come to the org on Saturday, April 28th in the afternoon. Watch the LRH Birthday Event, then attend the Spring Fling at the new building in the evening. The Spring Fling will be held on the deck of the new building and will include food (lots)(great)(exquisite), music and awards for those who have attained noteworthy status in helping to create an Ideal Org.
The deck is over the second floor and faces downtown Kansas City to the north. If the weather is anything like what we've had the past couple days, it'll be a very enjoyable evening.
So, of course, everyone is invited. But I wanted to take this time to invite, specially, the public for outlying areas because you don't have the advantage of an org right in your city and you sometimes miss out on the great things that have been happening.

Psychic Fair

One of the ways of introducing people to what Dianetics and Scientology can do is through books. This weekend we have teams of booksellers at the Psychic Fair.
Plenty of people are looking for answers and they may find just what they are looking for in a copy of the Dianetics book. Using a meter to help them see the source of their stress, they often want more information.
Going to events like the Psychic Fair is fun and you get to meet lots of interesting people.
If you are interested in spending some time at our booth, contact Al Adriance or John Williams. They will be more than happy to have your assistance in selling books at the fair.

Spring Fling Update

The Spring Fling is coming April 28th. The venue has been changed due to popular demand to the deck of the new building. So that's where we are having the next event, weather permitting.

New Views of the Ideal Org

New views available of the new org just uploaded! First is a wider view of the exterior. Also we have a small shot of the Academy and a larger one of the new lobby. Cool, huh?!

Public have been calling the org to find out the details about joining staff. So the ranks of staff are growing!

With all this activity, we'll be an Ideal Org before you know it! And with an Ideal Org, the number of lives that will be changed for the better will jump to the thousands per week!

So keep on donating for the building renovations, disseminating to your friends, joining staff, selling Dianetics books at the tent and everything else you've been up to, because it's working!!

Brand New Clear

One of the most key products of an org is, of course, Clears. So along with all the other excitement going on in Kansas City, I have to announce our latest Clear! Deb Lowe has been getting auditing in the Hubbard Guidance Center in Kansas City and in her most recent trip, originated having gone Clear. She went to the Flag Service Org for a Clear Certainty Rundown that was spectacularly A to B and on April 11th, attested to the State of Clear!
That's a Well Done to her auditor Sam Arjes, hats off to all the support staff behind the scenes and a great big CONGRATULATIONS! to Deb!

Now, imagine the Ideal Org with 24 auditing rooms running full many Clears do you think we'll make each week then?!

More gifts, more staff, more excitement. The Ideal Org is around the corner and it just keeps getting more real as more people make gifts for the next phase, renovations, and more people join staff to be part of the team.

The next big event coming up where you can find out about the progress is April 28th at the org, in the courtyard. We will be having a spring fling barbecue and take advantage of the spring weather.

Come see the awards to those who have made contributions and find out the latest news. And enjoy great barbecue while you're at it!

Ideal Org Flag Representative

Today, Kansas City Org got a Flag Representative!
As things move along toward building our Ideal Org, more are coming on board as staff members. In addition to the staff recruited to fill the 114-man complement of "Founding Ideal Org Staff" there are several posts which are Sea Organization posts. One is the Deputy Flag Banking Officer for Marketing of Org Resourses for Exchange (D/FBO MORE) which we have had for a while. Another key post is the Flag Rep.
Our new Flag Rep arrived in the org and was introduced to the staff today. This gives us a terminal representing Flag management right in the org, making sure Flag management gets a clear picture of all that is happening in the org, as well as getting in Flag programs to expand the org. I think you'll see things moving along at an even faster pace towards that Ideal Org we are creating.
So stop by the org and see all the excitement and action!

Ideal Org Briefing

Well, there you have it. Tonight's briefing was hard hitting and didn't pull any punches. You can't make an Ideal Org without the people who do the work. There's a lot wrong with this civilization and we are the ones that are putting it right. Everyone got the message: that to do it, their participation on staff is needed. Several people stepped up to the plate, so let's give them a good acknowledgement for their courage. Athena Smith, Cynthia Smith, Crystal Williams, Michael Arjes all joined staff! A couple people signed contracts of commitment, agreeing that they would be on staff after handling the major targets in their lives that would make being on staff possible: Jeff Kittinger, Tom Drake. More still, are looking over their lives and confronting what it would take to be able to join staff. We'll hear more from them in the coming days. So keep your eye on this blog for more great news!

Ideal Staff

One of the key parts of an Ideal Org is, of course, the staff members. To be able to deliver to all the public coming into an org, it takes lots of dedicated staff, doing the job day in, day out.
This Saturday, 14 April, at 7:00pm there will be a briefing in the new building, on the top floor, about what it is going to take to actually make an Ideal Org now that we have the building. Everyone is invited and, in fact, it is imperative that everyone show up to really be in the loop on this.
And while I'm on the subject of staff and the Ideal Org, because it does take staff and lots of dedication, we should also recognize those staff who have been working to make the Ideal Org and deliver Scientology.
The most recent staff member to be recognized is one who just completed 9 years on staff in Kansas City, Kelley Gillum. So when you see her in the org, give her a pat on the back and a big "Congratulations!"
You can see Kelley on the floor in the course room supervising all the co-audits, which, by the way, is the way we will actually clear this planet. So give her a big ack!

Ideal OT Committee

Just so you know, the OT Committee is actually working on creating the Ideal Org as one of their main projects. They work hard on fund raising, updating central files, putting on events and all sorts of activities all geared toward the creation of an Ideal Org.

You can participate too! The definition of OT is Cause and if you can be Cause, you can be OT. The OT Committee welcomes all persons wishing to be a part of the group that is working to put an Ideal Org in the midwest.

Meetings are Wednesday evenings at 7:30 and Sunday evenings at 6:30. All are welcome.

This is a chance to work with some really great people on a project that is changing people's lives and bring new hope to the midwest. So take this chance and join in.

Ideal Org Awards

Last Saturday, there was a big awards barbecue to thank everyone who has donated time, money or anything else to help create this org. The barbecue was great (everyone note that the burnt ends were all gone before we even got to dessert!) and all the rest of the food was on par as well. I, personally, was quite stuffed after we were done!
Special acknowledgements were given out to those achieving new statuses and a game was announced on the renovations fund raising with awards such as pins, shirts and jackets.
Additional designations of Ideal Org Founding Member and Ideal Org Founding Staff Member were announced.
There was also good music, dancing (thank you Emery), jokes and just-plain-ol' fun.
More folks donated or pledged, bringing us that much closer to opening the doors of this fantastic new building.
Tonight, I spoke with an old friend who worked here in KC back in '87 or so, who said he saw the event down in Louisiana and he was completely excited about the Ideal Org! So much so, he also donated. Thanks, Bill!
So, you can see, things aren't dying down, they're just warming up!
As the coming weeks progress, we're really gonna start cookin' so watch out, Kansas City, here comes the next Ideal Org!

Intention, Attention, Ideal Org

Remember that to create an Ideal Org, you must "keep your attention on the mountain", so to speak. The intention to create an Ideal Org requires that one's attention be on that goal. No matter what else transpires, no matter the day to day situations to handle, no matter the distractions, keep your attention on the this case, the Ideal Org. We'll get there with the combined intentions and shoulder to shoulder efforts of everyone.

First Friday

You might be interested to know that the new building is right in the middle of the Crossroads Arts District. The district covers from I-35 west to Troost and from the railroad tracks north of Pershing Road to I-670. The first friday of each month, they sponsor a tour through all the shops and galleries in the area. It's a big event and lots of people wander the streets visiting all the shops. They also have a great website with a map and calendar of events.
So stop by and visit their website and check out the tour on the first friday of each month. There are tons of shops, restaurants, galleries, theaters and almost anything you would want to do, right in that part of town!

Events on the horizon for Ideal Org

Coming in the next couple of weeks are events being planned in outlying areas so that everyone can see the LRH Birthday Event.
There are get-togethers planned for Omaha, Wichita, Bartlesville and Narconon Arrowhead. So if you live in one of those areas and haven't had a chance to see the event, now you can!
If you live in the Kansas City area and still haven't seen the event, you can come in most anytime and see the video. Don't put it off! The event is quite spectacular and you'll be in for quite a good time. There are some great anecdotes from LRH's life, told by those who were there with him. There are several new Ideal Org buildings and you get to see all the before and afters.

There's also an awards dinner this Saturday for those great contributors to the building so far. Contact the org for details.

There will be another event in the new building in about a week and a half so keep your eyes and ears peeled for news of that as well.

So, you can see there's lots happening that you don't want to miss out on. Watch here for highlights and watch your snail mail and e-mail for news as well.

Birthday Event and Ideal Org

On Saturday, March 24th, the LRH Birthday Event was held at the Madrid Theater in Kansas City, Missouri. It was the highest attended event in Kansas City history!
You can see some of the people who attended. Many of the attendees were awarded for their contributions to the new building and got to speak to the crowd, letting everyone in on the reasons to contribute.
But, of course, the biggest excitement was seeing the renderings of the new building and what it will look like once renovated. I don't have any pictures of that yet but I will get them up as soon as I do. In the meantime, enjoy more photos of the event.
Also, remember that we are still fund-raising for the renovations. We're moving along nicely and intend to get the fund-raising wrapped up so we can start the renovations. We plan to move into the new building this year, right?! So we can't rest on our laurels from acquiring the building, there's work to be done!
Grab the phone and help raise the dough! Come on in and help on the call-in! Go out with Al and the VM tent and get some people started on the Bridge! Get on course and become an auditor! There's lots to be done to create an Ideal Org an we've no time to waste!
